The Granite State BBQ Championship

 

The 2021 Granite State BBQ Championship is ON!  Scroll down for application.

This is a standard KCBS competition, with turn ins tentatively scheduled for Sunday, June 13, and we are adding an SCA Steak Cook Off for Saturday June 12.  The event is held at Seven Maples Campground in southern New Hampshire.  Teams have full use of the campground for the weekend, including the heated pool with a slide and outstanding facilities.  All team sites have power and water, while several also have sewer as well ($25 extra for sewer).  All team sites have nearby bathroom access with showers.

The prize money will be at least $3,000 for BBQ, and $2,000 for steak.  The KCBS event is an automatic qualifier for the 2021 Jack Daniel's World Invitational BBQ and the American Royal.  The winner of the SCA steak cook off qualifies for the national championship event in Texas.

All teams that paid for last year and carried it over until this year are good to go for 2021.  You need do nothing, thanks for your support. 

 

There will be strict COVID 19 protocols that will include a maximum of 4 team members, no visitors or public, no potluck and the judging will be outside under the tent.  We are limiting the KCBS event to 36 teams at this time.  If the COVID situation improves we may be able to expand and add some more teams.  We have reached 36 and the KCBS contest is full for the moment, please e-mail tedlorson@gmail.com to be placed on the wait list.  Use application below for SCA STEAK ONLY at this time.
